Harold Dyck, President, CEO and Co-Founder
With over twenty years in IT, Harold Dyck is a thought leader in the Microsoft tools market. After attending Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, Harold spent several years at IBM then moved on to work as a pre-sales engineer at Microsoft. After several years of progressive success with Microsoft, he moved on to become the founder of MessageWise, a provider of enterprise management software solutions, which he subsequently sold to Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) in 2000. Following the sale of MessageWise, Dyck was Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at Venture Coaches, where he reviewed and assessed investment opportunities in a range of technology startups. In 2003, Harold joined forces with Paul Chehowski and Randy Roffey to found Silect Software. Today, he serves as the company's President
and CEO leading its business and execution strategy.
Randy Roffey, Director of Product Management and Co-Founder
Randy Roffey is a company co-founder and leads Silect's product management team, building product requirements and mapping customer feedback into the product direction. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Roffey has extensive experience in managing corporate software applications through global deployment and support responsibilities. Most recently, Roffey was a senior pre-sales engineer for Hypersoft, a vendor of email management software solutions based in Europe. Previously, Roffey held senior systems engineering roles at MessageWise and Quest Software. In addition to these roles, Roffey has extensive sales experience in consulting services and consumable goods where he set national records for sales growth.
Paul Chehowski, Director of Product Development and Co-Founder
With over 30 years of computer software development experience, Paul Chehowski leads Silect's research and development team for MP Studio and CP Studio. He has worked in many senior development roles in the high tech field with well known companies such as Corel and Mitel. Based on his work at Mitel, Chehowski was assigned as a co-inventor on a patent issued in both Canada and the U.S. in 2000 titled “System for interactive control of a computer and telephone.” Chehowski was also an active member of the USB standards organization where he was a major contributor to the USB Communications Device Class 1.0 standard, which involved working closely with many major corporations including Microsoft, Intel, Nortel and Logitech. He holds a computer science degree from the University of Waterloo.
Juli Ackerman, Vice President of Corporate Development
With over 22 years of experience in the software industry, Juli Ackerman has held positions in virtually every facet of the business, including software development, marketing, product management, sales, mergers & acquisitions and business development. As vice president of corporate development, Ackerman leads the company's marketing, partner programs and global sales expansion. Prior to joining Silect in the summer of 2008, Ackerman was an executive at Quest Software during the company's highest growth period between 1997 and 2006.
