Silect Releases Updates to MP Studio and MP Author Professional

We are super excited about our v12.1 release of MP Studio. MP Studio has been helping simplify SCOM users for over 15 years and version 12.1 delivers even more ways of simplifying working with SCOM and introduces support for SCOM 2025. Version 12.1 also offers more flexible deployment options including support for Azure SQL MI and as well provides a more complete SCOM migration capability to simplify side-by-side migrations.

What’s New in MP Studio 12.1

All the new capabilities and enhancements added to MP Author Professional v12.1 listed below plus the following:

  • Added support for Operations Manager 2025.
  • SCOM Migration Assistant can includes support for Notifications.
  • Entra ID support for databases now available in startup wizard when creating databases.
  • Workflow and Agent reports now include the health state of monitors (for users with permission).
  • Workflow report can now be displayed in a multi-level layout where overrides are children of their respective elements, rather than just being another row in the table.
  • Workflow report and SCOM Explorer work properly with users with limited access.
  • Improvements to certificate handling for the Silect Portal.
  • Backup menu items will no longer be enabled for users without permission to do backups.
  • New buttons under Tools, Options to view the Portal log file and folder.
  • The Silect PowerShell snap-in now allows file versions (MP versions) to be deleted.

What’s New in MP Author Pro 12.1

Here’s a summary of changes to Silect MP Author Professional v12.1:

  • Various bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Added support for Operations Manager 2025.
  • Script rules, monitors, diagnostics, and recoveries can target any class (no longer required to be hosted by Windows Computer).
  • Event log monitor handles impersonation errors better.
  • Add support for Entra ID when connecting to databases.
