Silect: 20 Years and Counting

A little over 20 years ago a couple of former colleagues met up in Ottawa and talked about starting a software business. After looking at the market and their expertise, they decided to focus on a burgeoning product called Microsoft Operations Manager. 20 years and countless product releases later Silect is still helping customers with Operations Manager! But lots of other things have happened too:

• We’ve helped over 20,000 IT Pros do their job.
• We developed commercial products for Microsoft in use by thousands of organizations.
• We developed custom solutions for some of the worlds largest organizations in finance, energy, manufacturing, and health care.
• We’ve upsized, downsized and rightsized.
• We survived the 2008 financial crisis.
• We sold the company 😕
• We purchased the company 😎
• We survived COVID.
• We moved… then moved again and again and again.

This list could go on and on and on…. 20 years is a long time and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our stakeholders, customers and partners and for that we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU! Here’s to 20 more years!
